Our Centers

During our 40 year history, MSI has grown from a single center in London to a global network of more than 300 clinics located across 37 countries.

These centers set the standard for our family planning and contraceptive services in each program. So we put a lot of thought into their location, design and the way they are run. Above all, we want to be sure that the women who visit our centers feel at ease from the moment they walk through our blue door.

  • We try to make sure our centers are always located in places that are safe, convenient, easy to find and well served by public transport. Centers are open at times that work best for people living locally.
  • We set rigorous standards for cleanliness, décor and repair, both inside and outside our buildings – not just for medical and safety reasons but because it shows our clients just how important they are to us
  • We want our clients to feel relaxed and supportive – and we know that creating warm, welcoming environments also leads to quicker recovery times. We try to ‘demedicalize’ our centers as much as we can, so they feel more like a home than a hospital.

Serving clients

Our center in Bo City, Sierra Leone is a bright, airy building with colorful murals on the walls. When Margaret Louve came in to get her IUD replaced, she knew she could count on MSI to help her plan for her future.

“Ever since I received the contraceptive, my worries about becoming pregnant stopped and I was able to pursue my career in a teacher’s college." – Margaret
Margaret Louve, an MSI client, speaks to a nurse about contraception.

Every day, in centers around the world, we help women like Margaret access contraception so that they can make their own decisions about their bodies, lives and futures. Click here to read more about Margaret's story – and how she's inspiring the next generation to use family planning.
