Our team in India contributed to a significant policy change that will increase government funding for our outreach teams across the country.

The Indian government  recently committed nearly $2 million for family planning services in seven states across the country.

Marie Stopes clinical outreach teams in India are fully-equipped with a surgeon, medical officer, nurses, counsellor and support staff. Although these teams can be expensive to run, they play a vital role in providing high-quality family planning services through the public sector, where 70% of clients in India get their services.

This development could have a significant long lasting impact, expanding quality family planning services across the country.
