On January 23, 2018, we marked an important anniversary at MSI. One year after President Trump reinstated the Global Gag Rule which bars us from US Government funding, Time reports on the policy’s emerging impact.

“In just one year, health care workers say the policy has had disastrous effect; as expected, clinics are shutting down, unsafe abortions are predicted to rise sharply and families are losing critical services across the globe.”

If we don’t fill the impending funding gap, more than 2 million women will go without access to MSI services by 2020 as a result of this policy. That’s why we’re working to ensure we’ll be there – despite the Global Gag Rule – for every woman who needs us, no matter what.
