In 2018, MSI went further than ever to provide high-quality reproductive health services to women and girls, whenever and wherever they need them.

With your support, we reached women in the most marginalized communities with life-saving contraception and safe abortion. Our providers and advocates fought against stigma and removed barriers to choice. We were there for the women who rely on us, thanks to supporters like you who believe that women should have control over their bodies and their futures.

In our 2018 Global Impact Report, we share the stats and stories behind our work. Click here to read about the impact your support made possible.

Our progress last year is particularly inspiring because it comes despite President Trump's Global Gag Rule (GRR), which stripped us of our US Government funding because we support a woman's right to safe abortion. The GGR didn't just take away funding — it had a chilling effect, emboldening those opposed to women's choice.

Despite these challenges, 2018 told a story of resilience and success. In 2018, 30.2 million women, adolescent girls and men were using a method of contraception provided by MSI. And our impact went further than that:

Our services prevented 12.3 million unintended pregnancies, 6.4 million unsafe abortions and 32,000 pregnancy-related deaths.

We were able to reach women who need us thanks to providers like Julienne and Arlette from Burkina Faso in West Africa. As MS Ladies, Julienne and Arlette face down stigma and opposition to offer women a lifeline. Every day, they ride their mopeds to visit women with advice and contraceptive options.

You can read Julienne and Arlette's stories, as well as stories of other providers and clients, in the 2018 Global Impact Report. We're grateful to the many people who stepped up to help us be there for our clients in 2018 — and we're ready to continue expanding our reach through 2019.
